Is mom on any hormonal birth control?

If he does not nurse "all night", it would help if she would get up and
pump. And if he wakes up to nurse...all the better!

Also, pumping during the day would be helpful to build her supply, and have
some milk to offer in the evening. I explain the pump does not care how
fast or how much milk comes out...but if the baby does, he may not wait
around long enough to remove it well, and supply goes down farther.

I know it is a lot of work, but it would be temporary. Once her supply is
up, hopefully she could back off pumping. But it is often very helpful to
remove milk in the night.
