do group activities -- have them break up into groups of 3-4 and find out
what they think they know about breastfeeding, or list the advantages to
mother and baby of breastfeeding vs. the advantages to mother and baby of
bottle-feeding (there shouldn't be any advantages to baby on that list) --
at the end of 5 minutes of brainstorming choose one person from each group
to relate out loud what their group found out and write those on the board
under the different headings -- be sure to add any obvious ones they leave
out -- like they may not know about the cognitive benefits

pass out 3X5 cards and let them anonymously write down any question about
breasts and breastfeeding that they would like the answer to, and then pass
them forward and you pick and choose which ones to discuss -- everyone, not
just teens, are more likely to be honest if it is anonymous

finally, I would begin and end with several minutes of showing slides of
mothers breastfeeding babies -- all ages, all ethnicities, all circumstances
-- include lots of moms actually dressed in clothes, outside, doing work, or
at restaurants, etc., to counter the prevailing notion that breastfeeding is
only done in private wearing a negligee -- include lots of children older
than newborns, to counter the prevailing notion that breastfeeding is only
for tiny babies

Good Luck!!
