Yes and no.  Most ulcers are not bacterial in nature but a larger number
than previously tought are caused by a bacteria called "helicobacter
pylori" which is found in the stomach.  Very common in kids in Arkansas.
Mode of transmission is still? but seems to occur in clusters in families
and small communities.

Antibiotic is part of the cure usually include something like
tetracycline, flagyl and amoxicillin.  Usually combinations work better
than single drugs.  In addition acid bloker needs to be used for best result.
