Thank you for the wonderful suggestions.  I applaud this mother for her commitment to giving her baby only breast milk even though it was not her plan for how to give it!!!  I saw the mother yesterday when the baby was sleepy.  Mom preferred the Ameda breast shield as was suggested.  He took a few sucks and fell asleep.  At least he didn't push the breast/nipple away which is a big improvement and made mom feel a lot of better and less rejected.  We talked about your suggestions and she is going to keep trying.  Do you have a particular bottle that you recommend in this situation?  Dana
