Several sources recommended opening the bleb with a sterile needle, warm soaks and then breast massage because there is usually a clog of milk behind the bleb.One source recommended putting lecithin on the nipple and another taking lecithin orally 1200mg TID.
About the sterile needle, I truly believe it is best for mom to do this herself. Someone else poking around my nipple with a needle isn't effective or kind!

Would make a great JHL article if someone could summarize this. There are over a dozen articles etc about this issue, but I am a librarian, not an author, LOL
