I have a doula client that is on child number 2 and has had large piercings
for many years.  She experiences, what I feel, is above average leakage from
the unused breast during feeds, but nothing a pad or diaper can't handle.
For her, this leakage didn't go away throughout her first lactation-2 years.
As a side note, she regularly put her rings back in during the night once
baby was sleeping extended periods.  Hope this helps!
