The US Lactation Consultant Association (USLCA) welcomes Black
Breastfeeding Week (August 25-31, 2014) with the current issue of *Clinical
Lactation *devoted to lactation inequities and health disparities in
breastfeeding. Black Breastfeeding Week is a collaboration among
Freetobreastfeed.com, Black Mothers' Breastfeeding Association, and Mocha
Manual Motherhood in Color. *Clinical Lactation *is the official journal of
USLCA and is an open access publication. This issue features articles by
innovators in lactation equity in the African American community and can be
accessed at http://clinicallactation.org/Volume/5/Issue/3.
