Anyone have experience with galactoceles that were diagnosed by ultrasound
but then no treatment was offered? I got this weird call from a nurse in a
hospital ER room today; their LCs were off duty and noone knew what to tell
Mom to do with the diagnosis!!!! Baby is only 8 days old. I said "Are you
sure it's not a plugged duct" and the nurse said "Well we don't think so."
I told them plugged duct treatments (which Lawrence says DON"T work if it
really is a galactocele) and watch Mom for possible mastitis; fever etc.
Lawrence basically says if it's not surgically removed it just stays there.
I know, details lacking, but I'm curious....
