We have an LC in town that sees a lot of our patients pre-delivery. She
tells them all to use lanolin each time before the baby latches and to
even out the times on the breasts (eg. 10 minutes on one and 10 minutes
on the other). Where is this coming from?

Dear Friends:
Ignorance? Misplaced desire to save women from harm? She did this and it
worked for her so she will recommend it to everyone?
    warmly,
