Many farmers now are giving their cows Bovine Growth Hormone (BGH) Monsanto
product. This increases milk production. The life of a cow on this isn't as
long as a cow that isn't on it because the cow's prime role is to produce
until death and they get a very short time to recover until they deliver and
began the next cycle.

Cows not on BGH are milked while pregnant also but they "dry up" sooner of
course and get some time to rebuild fat stores. I think that is what he
meant but he put it all into one sentence. Yes, The USA formula uses pooled
milk so very possibly has BGH in it.

So, Professor Willett of Harvard is not meaning the hormones of pregnancy
affecting the dairy milk. It is solely the artificially added hormone? I
am taking it that hormone levels of human milk during human pregnancy are
not noticeably different then. Just wondered if research is available on
composition of human milk during pregnancy. I did BF during my pregnancy
with #2 and am curious.
