Jessica relates:
"I wrote a letter to the administration of that hospital. I thought you
would be very
interested in hearing the very disappointing response I received from
the
CEO.
...........................................................................................................

.....................................................................................................................

How do ya like them apples, folks? They just don't get it. They just
don't
GET IT!!"

Did you deliver at our hospital? The responses could have easily come
from our "higher-ups". (Reminds me somewhat of the phenomenon where new
parents are blind to obvious physical deformities in their infant.) No
matter how much and in how many ways we try to tell them that they are
doing the formula companies' advertising for them and sending mixed
messages, they just can't see it. Some LNers who haven't met this same
kind of resistance or whose administrators have finally seen the light
seem to say "Just tell them........", "If they knew..............they'd
change their tune."
Believe me, they have been told these things in as many ways as you can
state it, but for each tiny chip we make in the wall, it is reinforced
somewhere else. That doesn't mean we won't keep trying. Just because
your letter in this case didn't get them to change their minds, it might
be a chink in the armor. Perhaps if they get more letters from other
moms the armor might weaken a bit more. Or another letter might just
hit its receiver at a more vulnerable time.
Keep up the good fight.
Winnie
