A NICU mother of twins reported having a strange metallic taste in her
mouth when she pumps or breastfeeds. She states she thinks she smells
metallic at the same time. No problems when she is not feeding or
pumping.

Does anyone know why this might occur?

Ruth Solomon, BSN, RN, IBCLC
