Chemotherapy drugs are deadly POISONS.  It makes sense to me that a mother
who is breastfeeding should not be anywhere near the chemotherapy room.

Adriamycin, also known as "The Red Devil" -- is one of the standard
chemotherapy drugs for breast cancer.  It is administered intravenously in a
"push" -- where the nurses pushes it into the IV line quickly because if the
needle should slip and the drug get into the tissue, it instantly eats away
the flesh, like battery acid, necessitating hospitalization, skin grafts,
and plastic surgery.  It ruins the inside of the veins where the IV was
administered, leaving them sclerotic and painful, and useless for future
blood draws.

If the nurse should spill some on herself, or anyone else, it instantly
would eat away the flesh from wherever it touched.
