Sheila,
All needed materials are at that doctor's fingertips.

1. AAP statement on breastfeeding
http://www2.aap.org/breastfeeding/files/pdf/Breastfeeding2012ExecSum.pdf
2. Bright Futures pre-visit questionnaire, documentation and handouts
https://brightfutures.aap.org/Bright%20Futures%20Documents/CoreTools6MonthVisit.pdf
3. AAP sleep recommendations for parents
https://www.healthychildren.org/English/ages-stages/baby/sleep/Pages/default.aspx
"What It Really Means to be a Good Sleeper. It’s important for parents,
caregivers, families, and friends to understand that at this age, a good
sleeper is a child who wakes up frequently but can get himself back to
sleep. It is not a child who sleeps without waking for 10 hours at
night. Frequent waking is developmentally appropriate and allows the
baby to wake up when he is in a situation in which he is not getting
enough oxygen or is having problems breathing. Sleeping undisturbed for
prolonged periods at this age is not healthy."

But the most importnat thing is that your acquantance will have to
answer a simple question - was a trusting relationship extablished
during this visit? Or may be the things did not work well and she can
find someone who will be a little bit more... comfortable to deal with
(I am trying to be politically correct here).
