HELP!  I just got a call from a mom who was prescribed Methergine for
bleeding 4 days pp.(Mom was exhibiting a pinkish-orange flow which is now
heavy--1 pad per hour-with mothball size clots.  Doc prescribed methergine
over the phone, said she MUST take it, but that he didn't want her to come
in for an exam.
        Side effects incude coldness, tingling, or numbing due to
restriction in the blood vessels.  Needless to say, she is very concerned
about what this might to her milk supply, which is not yet well established.
 I have loaned out my Medications and Mother's Milk and am at a real loss.
