Friday on www.kvmr.org to hear Dr. Celeste Johnston discuss her research 
on skin-to-skin and its impact on premature babies.

Dr. Celeste Johnston is James McGill Professor and Associate Director 
for Research at the McGill School of Nursing. She is a Consultant to 
Nursing and Pain and Palliative Care Service of the Montreal Children's 
Hospital, and to the Nursing Department of the Royal Victoria Hospital 
(Montreal), and she is Co-Director of GRISIM <http://www.grisim.ca/>. 
Dr. Celeste Johnston is among 12 nurses in Canada to be a Fellow of the 
Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and she is on the Board of that 
academy.

Dr. Johnston's research interests include pain assessment and 
measurement of pain in infants, with a particular focus on pre-term 
infants; assessment parameters include heart rate, oxygen saturation, 
intracranial pressure, galvanic skin response, adrenocorticotropic 
hormone (ACTH) levels, beta endorphin levels, facial activity, and 
spectrographic cry analysis.
