Jeanette:
that baby who wouldn't respond, make eye contact etc; is it possible this
was a failure to thrive baby, who wasn't gaining well; and once the
mother was comfortable with breastfeeding, the feedings went better,
baby gained weight and then was able to turn outward, instead of turning
inward, as a maturational phase...
Just a thought.
