Hello!

I recently was invited to be part of the NICU committee to increase infant's
going home on mother's milk and to increase satisfaction for these moms. I am
a mother/baby nurse and therefore work with the moms right after delivery
and get them pumping when they have had an infant going to NICU.

As mother/baby nurses- we have little to no contact w/ NICU- and there is
not a good connection between our units...

I'm wondering if anyone can share what has worked in your area- to support
these moms who are pumping... and to increase the connection between the
NICU and the mother/baby nurse during the mother's stay. Once the mom is
DC'd- she becomes part of the NICU and is followed by lactation etc so this is
really about how to get the mom started, support her, and get everyone
involved in her and the infant's care on the same page.

Thanks so very much!!
