Given the prevalence of HPV and the prevalence of breastfeeding, why are we
not seeing hordes of newborns with warts in their mouths? Has anyone,
anywhere, EVER heard of such a case?
It is entirely possible that babies who are breastfed are more resistant to
infection by HPV from their mothers than they would be if they were not
being breastfed. HPV has been around a lot longer than we have known about
it. Sounds like a specious reason to fear breastfeeding to me.
