Jen, you need to get in touch with Paula Meier at Rush in Chicago.  She
knows nifty ways to get more hindmilk into baby.

One way would be for mom to begin pumping  and then put baby to breast after
letdown, when we know hind milk is being pushed out.

Dr Jack's breast massage technique would bring down fattier milk.

Letting pumped milk sit for a bit and then draw off  top portion to put
meds, plus any extra milk he needs for bottle feeding.  Freeze what is left
and save it for later to mix cereal when he starts solids.

BTW: What is so magic about 8 pounds? Here in NJ they insist on increased
calories to 10 pounds!  I don't think  it is based on real evidence.  Pat in
