The place where I see the importance of water the most is with FT working
moms that are pumping often. They report a drop in supply quickly when they
are not diligent about drinking at least 64 oz a day. So on this point I
must go with what I see in practice rather than what I have read. Beyond
that....64 oz is what is considered optimal for good healthy anyway. There
is societal/cultural influence in the picture that doesn't trigger
recognition of thirst.......air cooled buildings......reaching for pop
instead of water....etc.
