Greetings from Breastfeeding Brattleboro Vermont USA!

I did an hour-long radio interview on Monday on 1490 AM Talk Radio -- I did
bring questions and talking points and that helped very much. We even talked
about guilt v regret. (Boy, have I internalized Lactnet!)

Today my New Moms Network welcomed a Poetry Therapist. Here are our three
collaborative poems....

SUNRISE
*Start with the sunrise*
*First feeding...or second, or third...*
*It's morning already *
*Time to start my day*
*Time to feed my baby the natural way*
*One more night gone*
*When does naptime come*

*Small sucking noises*
*We-are, we-are, we-are,*
*Feel like a cow*
*     *Nursing's a gentle, loving tug
     Sometimes it hurts like hell
     Gazing up with love
     Thank you my belly's full
*Smiling that milky smile*
*Small fists crying victory*
*Full breasts*
*Full heart*

JUST BABIES
*You wiggle, you squirm*
*You can't sit still*
*A chorus of cries makes Mom arise*
*And I stare *
*lovingly into those beautiful eyes*
*And find that magic touch *
*that makes all quiet again*
