Dear Lactneters:
I know there has been much written on the effects of combined oral
contraceptives (COCs) or progestin-only contraceptives (POCs) on
breastfeeding. If you could please reply with research documents or
information regarding the pathophysiology of how the hormones can cause
a decrease in milk supply, I would be very appreciative. I do not know
how to search the archives, but this information would also be very
useful.

Sorry I am not completely up to date with digests.
Tragic that baby died at breast. Tragic no matter where baby was at the
time.
But at least baby died close to mother, near her heart.
