Dear Johanna,
You need to join BCUS (Breastfeeding Coalition of the Uniformed Services)
and contact Julia Block and/or Liz Flight.

Subject: Military and breastfeeding

I am hoping someone is able to tell me if the Air Force has any regulations
regarding breastfeeding. I know active duty military mothers are non-
deployable for about 6 months after birth, but I have not been able to get
my hands on a copy of something that states the regulation about
breastfeeding in the workplace. The Marine Corps has a wonderful
regulation supporting our servicewomen. Also, is there a federal
regulation that would be helpful for a mother that is returning to work
full time that would allow her to pump during the day and standards of the
pump areasZ? I am a hopsital based LC in Okinawa Japan working for the US
Navy, so the individual state legistations won't apply.

Thanks for your help and all the wonderful knowledge I get from the
Lactnet! It gets a little lonely here in Japan!
