I will finally come out of lurking to introduce myself. My name is Kristin
Gartner and I have been lurking for about 6 months. I am an LPN working at
a postpartum center for a local hospital. I also am one of the part time
lactation specialists. I am slowly but surely chipping away at the hours to
sit for the IBCLC. I have thouroughly enjoyed the opportunity to learn from
the great wealth of knowledge on the lactnet.

Here is my question-
I am on a childbirth educator email list and this was posted...
"Thrush does not occur in the healthy adult mouth, but can seem imposible
to get rid of in a baby's mouth. I have seen rapid and marvelous results
from having the mom put a bit of her saliva in her baby's mouth after
feedings. This is often an effective remedy for even the most resistant
cases"

Has anyone ever heard of this? If so, please explain.
