ILCA, our professional organization, a separate body from the iBLCE,   
has just passed a change to the bylaws, making it necessary to hold  
the IBCLC credential in order to be a voting member.  So, as a  
consequence, those who choose not to renew their IBCLC credential  
will now no longer be able to be voting members of their professional  
organization.  This adds another dimension  for those who are  
troubled by the whole situation with IBLCE.

 From the May 2007 ILCA e-globe newsletter, Volume 15, number 5:
