Rachel,

I hope what you are calling Peru Balsam is not the same product that we in the US know as Balsam of Peru, which is extremely high on the list of allergens know to cause eczema and contact dermatitis! I believe it may even be  included in the panel of items they check when patch testing for contact allergies.
