Still catching up on posts here... this one now says "mardi"; I guess we
switched languages with the latest hard-disk clear-out.
After reading Cynthia's post, I am finally able to articulate one of my
misgivings about the term "attachment parenting." By defining it as a
separate concept (not "just" mothering or normal biological behaviour)
we are suggesting it is an option (like you-know-what) or an alternative
practice. In other cultures, I'm sure "breastfeeding" is not so
important a lexical element... it is just the way babies eat. Am I
right?
