Esther asked for good graphics on latching. I'm not sure if this will help,
as it is a bit long on text in English (and meant for breastfeeding
counselors), but check the positioning information at the La Leche League
web site at

 http://www.lalecheleague.org/llleaderweb/LV/LVAugSep00p63.html

It includes discussion of the asymmetric latch, quoting Dr. Jack Newman and
Barbara Wilson-Clay and Kay Hoover. I'm also not sure the photos show it
clearly in the best way. What do others think?

For mothers, the same photos and basic positioning information are at

 http://www.lalecheleague.org/FAQ/positioning.html

The information comes from a "Leaven" article by Andrea Eastman, Vol 36,
number 4, August-September 2000, pages 63-68.

It is nice to have something to send to mothers who call our help-line at
night for positioning questions and have computer web access. We can email
them a picture and steps to look at until they can be seen next day.

Maybe others on Lactnet have more suggestions. I have sometimes also shared
the Jack Newman handout "Whenn Latching" by Anne Barnes, which can be found
at

 http://www.breastfeedingonline.com/31.html

This one is simpler in text.
