Does this bill affect or apply to the Texas WIC agencies? They are not health care providers as such.

A bill to prohibit formula promotion in hospitals and doctors offices
has been filed by Rep. McClendon in the Texas State Legislature -- the
text is below.

I am not sure when it will be up for a vote, but please let your Texan
friends know! You can even write if you don't live in Texas!! You
can visit the Texas state website at http://www.capitol.state.tx.us
<http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/> . The bills are HB302 and SB113.

any item containing the name of an infant formula; and
(2) advertising an infant formula.
(b) The executive commissioner of the Health and Human
Services Commission shall adopt rules to implement this section.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2005.
