The hospital where I gave birth at twice gives out large, thick polar fleece
blankets with embroidered baby feet, name of hospital & year born (small, in
the bottom corner). Both of my kids love their blankies, they work well with
our climate, and they are very high quality. You have to request a
formula-diaper bag (like I did so I could have the ice packs/insulated bag
for my EBM). They don't hand them out to anyone unless they specifically
request it, and then they have to go digging for them (at least that was my
experience).
