I'm still really interested in hearing how the collective you:) deal
with a hungry baby....one who's weight is 'normal' (not low or high),
who is nursing well but who is just really letting everyone know that
he's hungry.

I've only dealt with this twice - one time was a close friends large
baby. It was a homebirth, I was assisting her mw and after 18h, she
asked me to nurse him, which I did - after that, he was fine and mom's
milk was really abundant by 24h. The other was last week, hospital
birth, emergency csec, took baby a long time to latch and even longer to
nurse well. We did give some colostrum by spoon.....worked while giving
it but he wanted more.

What would you all have done?

The parents in this case were really only interested in exclusive
breastfeeding but they were also interested in having a happy baby who
wasn't hungry.
