I view grass roots lobbying as activism and that is just what LLL has done. I
had to laugh when I saw the comment that LLL wants to avoid being seen as
radical and fanatical! (sorry). They are seen as that.

I have been a LLL leader for nearly 16 years. Many times I have disagreed
with their unwillingness to take a stand in a more politically charged forum.
By not taking a stand they were taking a stand, if that makes sense.

I have been a proponent of LLL for many years for the mother to mother
support they provide. I think LLLI naive, however, if they think themselves
less activist by focusing on the grass roots.

Just my .02 worth.

Alison
