In reviewing conferences I will be attending this year I was drawn to the
AWHONN Annual conference in June- as many conference sessions address
breastfeeding issues. I am disappointed now in reviewing the conference
pamphlet on line. Does anyone know the connection as to why a large
professional organization like AWHONN would have breastfeeding
speakers/'experts' that are not IBCLC? Just curious. Another example, that
even amongst the Women's Health, O.B. and Neonatal professional community
our certification may not be respected as the 'gold standard'.
