Someone asked about what new information was at the LLLI conference in Florida.  One thing that stood out in my mind that we, on Lactnet should think over was from a very well-known speaker on breastfeeding.  She had many negative comments about Lactnet during one of her sessions.  Apparently someone writing on Lactnet claimed that this speaker said something (which was not true or out of context) and the speaker received flaming email and what she described as "hate mail."  It sounded like this happened more than once.  

Just a reminder that not all of the posts to Lactnet are from experts in the field and not everyone is quoted correctly.  We should be careful in checking out what we read before we repeat it or fly off the handle and DEFINITELY BEFORE flaming and alienating a friend of breastfeeding!
