As a U.S. LLLL, I am unsure as to what a cot is, exactly. Is it a crib? A portable bed in the parents' room? I am confused. Please enlighten my narrow American mind. :)

Lies, damn lies and statistics. Reading this I conclude that it is unsafe
to put babies to sleep in cots. 51% of the SIDS infants in this study, died
in cots.
