Ordinarily the professors on staff at medical schools are either MDs, or
PhDs (like in anatomy, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, etc.) or they
are MD/PhD combos. The occasional IBCLC might be asked to come give a guest
lecture or two on breastfeeding, but ordinarily would not be paid for it.
Cathy Liles (IBCLC, LLLL) gives one guest lecture every year at A&M to the
second year medical students on breastfeeding, and I give one guest lecture
every year to the first year medical students on ethics and prenatal
diagnosis/abortion for fetal "handicaps," but neither of us get paid for it.

Go speak to Ed. He is a wonderfully warm and compassionate human being.
How could he be otherwise, as the son of Niles Newton?? He might be very
willing to have you come talk to the students in various classes, but I
can't yet imagine a medical school that could provide full-time employment
to an IBCLC.
