I am not home at the moment, but I am pretty sure that the original
article in JHL that first promoted the concept of autocrine control of
lactation was based on a case study of a woman who had a pituitary
resection and who also was not expected to get pregnant, let alone make
milk. She did both. You might want to go back to the article.
