The information we are getting today is that children under 12 months old
are being allowed to stay with their mothers. Underage mothers are being
placed with their children. Children over 12 months have been taken from
their mothers and placed in foster homes or group homes. There is a report
of at least one breastfeeding 13 month old being separated from her mother.
There are reports that mothers who were nursing children older than 12
months were told their toddlers would be kept close by so they could
continue to nurse or provide breast milk for them, but some of those
toddlers have been moved hundreds of miles away and Texas Child Protective
Services has not yet given permission for the mothers to visit them.

From the San Angelo paper, " Two women who returned to the FLDS ranch,
Velvet, 31, and Ruth, 34, later gave tearful accounts of how their young
children were taken from them in what they described as a "cold" manner.
Velvet, who did not give a last name, said she has a 13-month-old daughter,
Velvet Rose, who is still breast-feeding. "I don't know where she is,"
Velvet said fighting back tears. "She's never had a bottle before. I need
her back." Ruth, who provided no last name, said she has twins who are
just older than 12 months, as well as two other children ages 2 and 4.
