Debbie Boehle has put her finger on it. The oNLY way to get through to the
formula pushers and the secondary pushers (in her case, the American Baby
source) is to inform them you will carry NONE of their products if they do
not stop pushing formula, NOT the best infant food for human infants.

At least one article in Clinical Pedaitrics questioned the practice of
hopsitals giving out all those freebies and the author was not just
referring to formula, in fact, I don't think it was mentioned. He did
mention shampoos, etc.

His point was WHY ARE WE PRE_SELLING THIS THINGS? Good question. Why is
it that mothers must be pre-sold to buy things? In my experience, they need
no incentives to purchase things for their babies.

That being the case, why would childbirth educators give them out? Is
their help, support, and information not sufficient to convince their
clients to refer others to them? Just thought I would ask.

Def. of LC service: "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities
brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
