Marie Davis, I noted your post and it brought to mind a case I had
wherein the mother and baby had a
very resistant thrush, The pediatrician recommended Gential Violet,
it was 1/4% and to used four times
a day for 2-3 days. The infant's entire mouth ulcerated! The infant
could NOT suck at all. We fed her
hold a dropper over her mouth, she acted like a little bird and
swallowed her EBM in this manner until
all the blisters healed (about a week) and then the infant had to be
trained by finger back to the breast.
I'm afraid of prolonged use-and I mean beyond one application.
