Dear friends,
Coming out of lurkdom (forgot to reset my settings after a conference weekend on nomail) I want to put this question of an collegue LC who is not on Lactnet here:
Within my home-maternity-care organisation the question is asked how long a pump and it;s equipment need to be kept on 100 degrees C for the best hygienic result. The advice giving from different institutions is variable for both cooking time as for up to which age of child sterilising is needed. Dishwashing mabine is mentioned, too. I can't find any literature to back those advices up.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Warmly,

Gonneke, IBCLC in PP, LClecturer in southern Netherlands.
