I work in a 450 bed/3000 delivery per year hospital. We are located in SW GA.
Until now, our hospital has provided lactation services free of charge. We
are under new management and are looking at charging for in patient and OP
services. I have been given the task of finding out what is "usual and
customary" charges and what codes are used to file. Do you find that most
insurances pay for these services?
I know that there is a wealth of information among you all and I appreciate
any help you can give me.
