A woman I know asked me if the drug leuprolide acetate or"Luprov", a
gonadotropin-realeasing hormone analog is compatible with breastfeeding.
She needs to be treated with this to diminish a uterine fibroid before she
has it surgically removed. Her doctor told her that she would have no
breast milk after being on this drug for 2 weeks. This is OK with her as
she has been trying to wean her 3 yr. old anyway but would like to
breastfeed until her milk dries up. Is this OK? I told her I would put
this question out to our experts on Lactnet.

Thanks
