One of my Leader apps. wrote this to her friends. I think it is great! Pat in SNJ

With the holidays approaching I think now is a good time to remind everyone that December is known in the lactation community as "mastitis month." Please, nourish yourself. Drink enough. Eat as well as possible. And most importantly, nurse your baby. Take pump breaks when you are separated. Don't try to wrap just one more present, run one more errand, or bake one more batch of cookies. Pushing off nursing/pumping sessions leads to milk stasis which then leads to clogged ducts that then lead to mastitis- faster than you think! And that isn't even addressing the concern of decreasing your output/supply by not removing the milk. Keep that milk flowing, mamas! Gina Vanwell
