NEW YORK (Reuters Health) Dec 16 - A gene known to be involved in cellular
housekeeping functions appears to be necessary for milk fat droplet
enveloping and secretion in mice, according to a report published in the
December 15th issue of Genes and Development. Based on these findings, the
researchers speculate that there may be a genetic basis for lactation
difficulties, which are experienced by about 5% of women.
