Greetings Colleagues!
I am a lactation consultant practicing in an outpatient lactation center in the Washington.D.C. area. I've been certified for a year now and I think there is not a day that goes by that I don't learn something new. I look forward to learning from all of you.
This is my first question: Does anyone have some information/experience re: P.C.O.S.(Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and its effect on breastfeeding? I read the section in Ruth Lawrence's most recent edition but a couple of specialists treating one of my clients didn't seem to be aware of the connection between P.C.O.S. and milk volume. Is this new ...or is it not yet considered documented?
Thanks for your comments.
