Just to clarify, the fact sheets were developed by the Wisconsin
Breastfeeding Coalition, not La Leche League, (although I am the LLL
representative on the Coalition).

I didn't see any noticeable results from distribution of the fact sheets to
the legislators. The proposed bill to give tax exemption for businesses
that provided an on-site pumping space was later linked to a bill for on-
site childcare. These bills never got anywhere. September 11, 2001 turned
all attention elsewhere. The assemblyman who proposed the bill was later
elected to the state senate and has turned to other issues.

However, we've used the fact sheets as handouts whenever it seemed useful,
like at World Breastfeeding Week activities. The "Breastfeeding Terms You
Should Know" was intended to help clear up confusion over the various types
and titles of different breastfeeding counselors and to clarify what "Baby
Friendly" means, so there is lots of use for that.

The Fact Sheet and Breastfeeding Terms You Should Know and the Breastfeeding
Coalition Position Paper are at
