I missed it if there was further discussion on this, but my understanding
was that bone mass recovered after weaning.  Most of the studies, of course
are done with babies/moms who weaned around a year because that's when most
wean.  So, does anyone have any idea on what bone mass does if one nurses
and goes directly to menopause?  How do you know when menopause happens
then?  Is it possible that the estrogen levels at menopause are going to be
somewhat greater than the estrogen levels during lactation, allowing the
bones to grab every bit of opportunity for anabolism?  I suspect this hasn't
been studied at all, but I've been hypothesising...
