"Everyone knows" here that you use breastmilk for sticky eyes and stuffy
noses, but you don't tell anyone in case they think you are crazy!  At a
recent lactation management course, we were talking about this, and one of
the black participants said that her mom and gran had always done this.  A
case of Western civilisation gone wrong, she thought that this was wrong and
unhygienic.  EBM is also used for snake venom - to wash out the eye.  I don't
know if any research has been done on these treatments but they work.
